KI 3263 IP and session errors in Ebook Central

Do you encounter any of the following error messages when trying to access e-books in Ebook Central?
  • Sorry, your institution does not allow access to ProQuest Ebook Central from your current IP address. Please contact your librarian.
  • Your session has expired, please refresh this page, search again or sign-in again.
These errors are usually caused by outdated browser cookies/cache, an expired session, or an old ProQuest session still active in your browser.

Please try the following:
  • Refresh the page and sign in again
  • Close old browser tabs connected to Ebook Central
  • Open the resource in an incognito/private window (often the quickest solution)
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear cookies and cache for proquest.com in your browser
If you use tools such as Zotero or browser proxy extensions, try temporarily disabling proxy redirection for ProQuest.

Clearing cookies and cache is often the most effective solution, as this is the most common cause of the problem.

If the issue persists, please contact library support and include:
  • the title of the e-book
  • link to the e-book in Oria
  • a screenshot of the error message
  • which browser you are using
  • the IP address you have when the issue occurs
